dvDepot Studio and Equipment Rental House

Find Your Creative Flow within our Production Hub

2018 was filled with change, but change is good and now we are ready for an exciting 2019! As most of you know, we moved to a new facility earlier last year. Moving all our rental equipment from midtown Manhattan to Long Island City, Queens was a tough one, although it’s a lot closer than you think.

Besides the move, those of you that know my Mom - Barbara Kreiss know that she was the backbone to Keep In Touch Communications Inc our Walkie Talkie rental company for the past 20 years. She officially retired, sold my childhood home and has moved to North Carolina to enjoy her retirement, and boy is she ever! I smile every time she tells me what she is up to. So now, if you need walkies for your production please call me directly at dvDepot and I will be happy to help you.

In addition to the ongoing rentals, we have a larger studio space and have had great success. Leading us off with Nickelodeon, who have aired the funniest moments of “The Loud house” with Pugs, “The Pug House”. The puppies were so adorable and well behaved, keeping us laughing all day.

DC comics also hired us to Produce and shoot an interview with Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman on the animated series. This shoot was a good challenge for us as we had to prepare our studio to match the audio levels from previous shoots in LA so the audio deaden sound would match throughout the special.

Our new facility has a loading bay for easy pick up and drop off of equipment. Making it fast for you to get our equipment in and out. No more dealing with a freight elevator…..woot woot!

With our new 1,1000sqft studio, you could use the space with a 2-corner backdrop track with green screen/black/white backdrops. Light grid, catering/crafty area, hair/make up, crewing, editing, lighting, camera and audio.

The other new services we offer are 1) Make our equipment house your home base. Have your crew load and unload everyday at dvDepot. Think about it, they can build the camera and audio packages in a facility that is meant for it, and upon return, just plug in to recharge all the batteries etc. All in one easily accessible location with private free parking. It’s faster than trying to load into a building from a Manhattan street, and your crew can leave their cars here while they are out on the shoot. We even have gated parking for a couple of production vans or truck for overnight. Perfect for any out of town projects that need to shoot a few days or weeks in NY.

2) Multicam switcher, line cuts and full service streaming available in house or take us on the road! We offer the highest speed Verizon Fios has to offer, so connectivity is never a problem. Come test it out, schedule an appointment and would be happy to demo it for you.

Looking for office space to rent? This is something that we have always specialized in and moving to our new location is no different, we have a space for you! You have probably seen the ads I have posted including a bullpen, back office and kitchen area please let me know if you have anything coming up short or long term as I am happy to help. The back office can also work as a private edit suite if you are looking for that as well.

We opened our courtyard including extended wifi so it is great for the option to work outside, crew catered meals, or just to relax and enjoy the fresh air. Not to mention truck/van gated parking (not seen in pics)
