Internships

Intern with dvDepot and gain knowledge, experience, and contacts that will help you start your career. We are always looking for technically savvy interns to work in our office. Students enrolled in a college/university are preferred. You must be available at least 2 days a week, and live in or around the NYC area. The duration of the internship is a college semester or 3-4 months. You must be able to work independently or with a team, and have excellent organizational skills. The internships are unpaid, but academic credit is available. We offer 3 types of internships.

 

 

 

Video Production
You must be interested in learning about professional gear and the day-to-day operations of a rental house. You will learn about the functionality of video production equipment and how it’s applied in the field. You will be taught to identify and test out the gear, providing hands-on experience. You will also go out on runs, becoming familiar with NYC, and our clients. Interest in the technical side of the TV industry is a must.

 

Accounting
You must be interested in learning about finance and accounting principles and practices, financial markets, and banking in the entertainment industry. Duties will include assisting with filing, billing, AR, AP, credit, and phones. Demonstrate working knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word. Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred. Some previous office experience preferred.

 

Social Media/Production Management
You must be interested in learning about production management and the skills necessary to work on a production. You should have knowledge of social media websites, particularly Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. You’ll maintain and update our pages on these sites, as well as our company’s blog, and maintain the dvDepot website using Wix.
