Twi-hard!

by Adam on Feb.03, 2010, under Blog, Gear

Everybody’s raving about Twilight now, but a lot of people were surprised when it was an enormous blockbuster. Showtime jumped into the game early and got an exclusive deal for showing the Twilight movies. Obviously, they wanted to turn the premiere into an event with specials and behind the scenes material. We were lucky enough to help on the material shot in the New York area. You can see some of our footage in the video shot below or at Showtime’s video site.

Nurse Jackie

by Adam on Oct.07, 2009, under Blog, Crewing

At this point, everybody’s loving Showtime’s new series Nurse Jackie. My aunt, a retired nurse, is a big fan. We were lucky enough to do all the behind the scenes work on the show. We shot interviews with the cast and crew and B roll as well. It was exciting to shoot most of the stuff onset, so we got to see the show in production. The promo below includes a lot or our work.

One day, we got to shoot real nurses telling us about actual on the job experiences. The stories are hilarious, shocking and squirm inducing. Especially The Testicle Story. I suggest you take a look below.

Our work for Showtime was shot by Matthew Kulvicki, Derek Edwards, Ira Brenner and Ron McCain. The audio was done by Diana Milani, Alex Sierra and Max Kalmanowicz. Anthony Barrese was a utility, Lauren Dale Weinstein handled makeup and Mariclare Rivera operated the teleprompter. Their hard work kept Showtime coming back to us for more work.

You can check out more of our behind the scenes work on Nurse Jackie over at their site.

BET’s Rising Icons with Melanie Fiona

Melanie Fiona's debut album, The Bridge, releases on September 22nd

Melanie Fiona's debut album, The Bridge, releases on September 22nd

Any chance we get to work on “Rising Icons” is exciting. This past week, we worked with BET shooting an episode about new artist Melanie Fiona. Her music is a great blend of classic and modern R&B styles with soul and hip hop. Her first album, “The Bridge,” is being released on September 22nd.

We followed Melanie to her appearance on The Wendy Williams Show and then on to Robert Moses State Park on Long Island to shoot behind the scenes on her new music video for “It Kills Me.” It was a beautiful day and everything went smoothly.

Ethan Goldberger was on audio and dv Depot COO Pete Zappulla managed to sneak out of the office and shoot this project. It’s always exciting to see artists a little ahead of the curve and “Rising Icons” gives us that chance.
